Studying= Destruction of Creativity

Come to me summer days
when i lay out under the bright, warm sun

i hold on to the hope
that soon i will graduate and learn to write poetry

for alas, all creativity has left me.

You know, I never made that connection in my mind, but yes, academia does seem to kill any and all creativity. More important to conform to a standard, regurgitate with accuracy, and systematize efficiently than to think. Understanding is measured by how closely you adhere to something, not in how your soul depicts or represents it.

Hang in there. This season will end!

I really didn't think that deeply about it to tell you the truth. Honestly I just was referring to how I was brain-fried.

I also never thought about that, but it's totally true. My creativity gets zapped when I'm un-stimulated. I need creative surroundings, good music, fun ideas, something...not text, not sitting too long.
